The Shift (2023) Movie Review
The Shift Movie: Imagine learning more about the Devil in a new sci-fi drama from Angel Studios. He likes steak and eggs, has some insecurities, and acts like a spurned lover. The movie, called The Shift and directed by Brock Heasley, deals with a complicated multiverse plot similar to Marvel films.
The story follows Kevin, who faces ups and downs, including a meeting with the mysterious Benefactor. This Benefactor has strange powers and offers Kevin a job as a 'Shifter.' Kevin refuses, prays for help, and ends up in a dystopian world. The movie, loosely based on The Book of Job with a touch of Stan Lee, is confusing but has playful moments.
Despite some confusion, the Devil's character steals the show. The studio, Angel Studios, known for hits like Sound of Freedom and The Chosen, follows a gimmick of delivering a message after the credits. However, some criticize it as self-serving instead of helping those in need.
